Four program areas summarize GLOBIO's focus on development - create the world's best kids content (Glossopedia), a global community to connect kids (Billabong), help adults help kids to learn (Outreach) and continue expanding content kids need to learn (Visual ARC).

GLOBIO was founded by Gerry Ellis, but quickly expanded to include a wide range of exceptionally talented and dedicated people from children's publishing, technology, the arts, business, and the education community.
